// Accurate and Easy to Use

CMI Intoxylizer 400

  • Easy to operate
  • Fuel cell accuracy
  • Designed for both law enforcement and workplace testing
  • Many optional configurations including pass/warn/fail
  • External breath path eliminates breath condensation inside the unit
  • DOT/NHTSA approved

The Intoxilyzer® 400PA is fully automatic and features a highly accurate, simple operation. Results are displayed in seconds and can be automatically printed.

The Intoxilyzer® 400PA appears on the NHTSA Conforming Products List. It has standard memory for 500 test results, and optional memory is available for up to 5,000 test results.

With optional software packages, the 400PA can be connected to a PC for data download or for conducting tests with full data entry capability

The Intoxilyzer® 400PA operates in up to three modes – Precursory, Analyze, or Precursory/ Analyze.

If the optional printer is attached, results are automatically printed in the Analyze mode. Precursory mode allows for mass screening of subjects without the need for disposable h4. A reusable plastic “cup” is used to collect the sample without contact by the subject.

An approximate alcohol reading is given, allowing quick disposition of negative test subjects, and a quick decision whether to continue testing a positive subject.

Analyze mode requires the use of a disposable mouthpiece, and gives an exact reading of the breath alcohol concentration. In the third mode, Precursory/Analyze, if the precursory test is above a preset limit, the instrument automatically enters the Analyze mode for a precise reading.

The 400PA is also available in “Pass, Warn, Fail” mode, and can be configured at the factory to the customer’s specific requirements – The 400PA lets you design your instrument to meet your needs.

It uses an electrochemical fuel cell to gauge alcohol concentration and is backed by CMI’s factory service and support.
